Matti Tanskanen (b.1982) is an artist and photographer with an artistic research practice. Using transdisciplinary methodology his works explore the characteristics of the photographic medium and images, and their relation to the surrounding environments in various different contexts.

Breaking Frames

            The Breaking Frames exhibition works as a platform, event and intervention for experimenting with art within an old railway station and its nearby surroundings. By entering the physical gallery space, but also stepping outside to the public, this exhibition project and its transdisciplinary approach studies the role of art in making a friction between spaces.
