Matti Tanskanen (b.1982) is an artist and photographer with an artistic research practice. Using transdisciplinary methodology his works explore the characteristics of the photographic medium and images, and their relation to the surrounding environments in various different contexts.

Quite Cube

            Quite Cube was an installation/intervention dealing with the theme of space. The work consisted of four separate white walls that could be seen as an imaginary stage, simultaneously opening and closing the boundaries of a shared and private space. The project was set up in a wasteland located in the center of Helsinki in August 2014.
